God Talks

What It Means To Be Restored Back To the Father

There was a time when God walked with man through the garden in the cool of the day; most likely during the evening hours (Gen 3:8-9 NLT). It was a time they both looked forward to. I believe God was more excited about the visit than man was.

Imagine the Creator coming down from heaven, leaving His throne to visit with man; searching for him because it’s the time of day they get to spend together.

I often wonder what they talked about. What a beautiful and bonding relationship God and man shared back then. Openly talking to one another and expressing their love to each other.

Man’s disobedience then separated him from God (Gen 3:6-7 NLT). One act of rebellion put a rift between them; a great divide. God was devastated because he could no longer visit with man. He could no longer interact one on one with him. Man now faced death, both physical and spiritual.

Jesus said in John 14:23 NLT: “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them and make OUR home with them. Can you imagine?! We have Christ and the fullness of God dwelling in us when we accept Jesus as our savior! If that doesn’t make you shout with joy I don’t know what will.

For generations and centuries man was separated from God. God promise him however, that the separation would not be forever (Gen 3:15, Heb 2:14 NLT). He promised he would send a deliverer in the form of man but yet with the fullness of God (Col 1:19-20 NLT For God in ALL His fullness was pleased to live in Christ and through Him God reconciled everything to Himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross ).

We read in John 1:1-12 NLT that Jesus the Son of God, the creator of heaven and earth, the light of the world, the promised redeemer came into the very world he created. He became human like us and made His home with us here on earth.

Again, God through Jesus comes to not just visit us, but to dwell amongst us.

His purpose was and is that through Jesus’s death and resurrection we would be restored back to God. Jesus’s mission was to reconcile us to the Father. It could only have happened by His death and resurrection.

The bible states that as a result of Jesus shedding His blood on the cross, taking our pain and punishment upon Himself because of our sin He brought us into His presence. We are now Holy and blameless as we stand before the Father without a single fault (Col 1:22 NLT).

His message, the good news is that through the shedding of His blood and because of His great love for us, He has reconciled us back to God and we can now commune with Him as we did back then in the garden.

But it doesn’t just end there. We are encouraged by Paul to continue to follow Him. To allow our roots to grow down into Him and let our lives be built on Him. Then our faith will grow strong in the truth we were taught, and we will overflow with thankfulness (Col 2:7 NLT).

Because of these truths we can come boldly to the throne of grace where we will receive His mercy, and find grace to help us when we need it most (Heb 4:16 NLT).

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then unfortunately you are missing out on the greatest relationship you can ever have. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never had an earthly relationship with with an earthly father. God will wipe away the pain along with all of your sin. Dont miss out on experiencing the fullness of God in your life.

Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior today. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Call on the name of Lord and He will hear your cry and save you. Repeat this prayer…

“Father in Heaven, I believe that Jesus died for my sins. I ask you to forgive me and invite Him into my heart. Holy Spirit I pray that you would heal my heart and restore me back to my Heavenly Father, Amen.”

God will impart eternal life to your spirit.

So beautiful and thank you for giving hope to those who don’t have a relationship with Jesus or haven’t excepted Him into their life! I wouldn’t be here today if I didn’t except Jesus as my Lord and Savior! I still have my flaws but my Heavenly Father will never leave me or forsake me and He will do the same for you!🙏🏻❤️
